Week 4 - We are All Ears: Why Effective Communication Matters
Effective Communication and storytelling plays a significant role in Technopreneurship, as it allows aspiring technopreneurs to put their attention to what the problems experienced by their target market.
"A good listener is a good speaker". Meaning, listening to other's problem can create an interactive communication. This way, technopreneurs can put theirselves on their shoes and gain lessons and realizations of the challenges that they are experiencing in their daily life.
From our previous interviews, we, as a group, learned one thing: everyone have different and unique circumstances in regards to mental health-related challenges, and it is difficult to pertain if one or the other has similar stories to tell. That is, despite sharing the same opinion on what societal issues they see, which is mental health-related issues in this case, it is their experiences that matters the most.
As a mental health advocate and an individual who is also mentally challenged, it is sad but meaningful to hear that mental health is also what others want the people to focus their attention on. The country is already at its critical peak of individuals who took their lives due to this issue, and it is already time to make an action for it.
The interview our group made taught us a lot of lessons from our interviewee, and how effective communication and storytelling can significantly contribute to a much wider understanding of other people's experiences. From this stand point, we, as a group, is committed to create a solution to combat this issue and at least help mentally challenged people to fight, and open themselves to also empower other people and spread the greatness of surviving the worse enemy of one's self. This ends with a quote:
"Sometimes even to live is an act of courage" ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca
